Human Trafficking Awareness Day | Community Conference

The community is invited to join the Capital Area Anti-trafficking Alliance (CAATA) at the FREE Human Trafficking Awareness Day community conference.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers:  Andy Soper, Manasseh Project founder and coordinator; Scott Leroy, Phoenix Court; Jane White, Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force (MHTTF) director; Sophia Estrada Ferriera, Gateway Youth Services street outreach coordinator; and Dr. LaClaire Bouknight, CAATA chair.

Topics discussed at the conference will include human trafficking 101; what is happening in Lansing and Michigan in regards to human trafficking; regional resources available, information about culturally sensitive responses/treatment and trauma treatment; as well as housing, criminal justice/legal issues, and more!
